ICED/COLD COFFEE
Iced/cold coffee is a cold variant of coffee. The iced latte and iced mocha are examples-A method of preparing such drinks is to make a small quantity of strong, hot espresso, dissolving the required sweetener/flavorings in the hot liquid and then pouring this directly into a cup of ice cold milk.Pre-packaged iced coffee is available as a grocery item in several countries.So let's start...
INGREDIENTS:-
Ground coffee-1 pound(good and rich roast,I used Nescafe)
Cold water-8 quarts
Healthy splash of half and Half milk-2 cups or as per ur taste
Sweetened Condensed milk-2-3 tbsp
Coffee ice cream-2 scoop(optional,I used Starbucks coffee ice cream)
Ice Cubes-1/4 cup
METHOD:-
1-In a large container,mix ground coffee with water.Cover and allow to sit at room temperature eight hours or overnight.
2-Line a fine mesh strainer with cheesecloth and set over a pitcher or other container.Pour coffee/water mixture through the strainer,allowing all liquid to run through.Discard grounds.
3-Place coffee liquid in the fridge and allow to cool. Use as needed.
4-To make iced coffee, pack a glass 1/4 cup of ice cubes.Fill glass 1/2 full with coffee liquid.
5-Add healthy splash of half-and-half.Add 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (can use plain sugar instead) and 2 scoop of coffee ice cream,stir or shake to combine.
6-Now enjoy your perfect delicious iced/cold coffee.
(Taste and adjust half-and-half and/or sweetened condensed milk as needed.)
