CHHUIN BESARA BHAJA(DRUMSTICK FRY)
INGREDIENTS:-
Drumstick-4
Potato-2 medium size
Chopped Onion-1 large
Chopped Tomato-2 medium
Mustard seeds-1 tbsp
Dry red Chili-2
Garlic-5 cloves
Turmeric Powder-2 tsp
Red chili powder-1/2 tsp
Panch Phutana(Cumin seeds,Mustard Seeds,Fenugreek seeds,Fennel seeds,Nigella seeds)-1 tsp
Water-1 cup
Oil-1 tbsp
Sugar-1 tsp
Salt to taste
METHOD:-
1-Peel off the outer layer of drumstick and cut it into pieces and make round slices of potato.
2-Make a fine paste of mustard seed,dry red chili and garlic cloves.
3-Heat oil in a pan and add panch phutan.
4-When they start to crack add chopped onions.
5-when the onions turned to golden brown in colour add the potatoes and drumstick.
6-Stir for some time about 1-2 min then add red chilly powder,turmeric powder,sugar and salt.
7-Then add mustard paste stir for about 2-3 min,add about 1 cup of water.
8-Cover it with a lid and allow to cook for 10 mins till the water dries out and gravy becomes thick and golden brown.
9-Serve it hot.
